Tenancy and lease law, law of property

This includes drafting agreements as well as examining contract forms given to us by our clients.
We draw up invoices for additional expenses and examine escalation clauses in cooperation with our tax advisers, taking into account the latest tax law requirements for the preparation of invoices.

Residential tenancy law in particular has experienced dramatic changes recently. We will therefore advise you on the validity and effectiveness of a tenancy agreement or of the general terms and conditions of business before you enter into a tenancy agreement. When agreements are terminated, our services include examining cosmetic repairs clauses and terminations of tenancy agreements, e.g. due to a requirement for personal use.

We also advise you on asserting and defending yourself against rent demands as well as against claims for damages; in addition, we will represent your interests in court eviction proceedings.

We advise you on the purchase and sale of properties – including any related easements, usufructuary rights, heritable building rights, mortgages, land charges and real rights of preemption, for example.

We also represent you when property is sold and prepare the necessary draft agreements for notarization. Finally, we offer you our help in creating and transferring mortgages or land charges as collateral for loans raised to finance a property.
